Privacy Policy

At StoreOrder ("we", "us", "our"), we respect your privacy. This policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when customers and merchants use our service.

1. Zero Financial Intermediary Promise

StoreOrder never holds, routes, or handles customer payment funds. When paying via UPI, payments transfer peer-to-peer directly from the customer's UPI application to the merchant's own UPI address. We do not collect or store bank account credentials, credit card numbers, or UPI PINs.

2. Information Collected for Order Fulfilment

When placing an order with a merchant, customers provide their name, mobile phone number, delivery address (for delivery orders), and optional order instructions. This data is strictly used to communicate order status and enable the merchant to deliver items.

3. Role-Based Data Shielding

We enforce strict role-based data shielding at the database level:

• Kitchen staff (cooks) view order items and first names only; phone numbers and addresses are strictly concealed.
• Delivery staff access customer addresses strictly when an order is out for delivery.
• Tracking links display masked phone numbers (e.g. +91 98*** **321) and omit complete addresses.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Customer phone numbers and street addresses are automatically scrubbed from order records older than 90 days. Customers may request complete data deletion by emailing support@storeorder.app.
